LETS MAKE SURE THAT THE ORDEAL OF AMERICAN SERVICEMEN IN VIETNAM AT THE HANDS OF CASTR0S THUGS IS NOT SWEPT UNDER THE RUG

     Learn about a book
published by the U.S. Naval Institute Press that has not received the attention that it deserves Honor Bound: American Prisoners of War in  Southeast Asia‹1961-1973, and read the letter sent to hundreds of  distinguished Americans by CAMCO Chairman, Erneido A. Oliva, Major General (DC) Retired and former Second-in-Command of the Bay of  Pigs Invasion, asking them to write to their Congressman and two Senators to make sure that the ordeal of American servicemen in Vietnam tortured at the hands of Cuban dictator Fidel Castros thugs is not swept under the rug.

June 11, 2001

Dear friend:

A few days ago on Memorial Day, we honored the men and women who served in the Armed Forces of the United States. In commemorative ceremonies, and acts of remembrance the American people paid special homage to those who gave their lives, were wounded, or suffered as POWs in the cause of freedom.  Memorial Day also served to reacquaint some with our history, remember the heroism of our young, and rekindle our commitment that their sacrifice was not in vain.

There is a story, however, that has failed to receive the attention it deserves: the torturing of American servicemen by Fidel Castros officers in Vietnam. The charge is a most serious one because it appears in Honor Bound: American Prisoners of War in Southeast Asia‹1961-1973, a book released a couple of years ago by the Naval Institute Press in Annapolis, Maryland. According to the chapter, øThe Zoo, 1967-1969: The Cuban Program and Other Atrocities," American were tortured by Castros thugs, sometimes to death. Senator John McCain, in his book, Faith of My Fathers, confirms the charges.

Castros torturing of Americans was not an accident. To this day, Nazi war crimes are investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice. If you agree that the torturing of Americans should be investigated, please write your Congressman and your two Senators today. Lets make sure that the ordeal of American servicemen at the hands of Castros torturers is not swept under the rug.

Sincerely,

(S)

Erneido A. Oliva
