Born in Cardenas, Cuba. He has written
over 300 published articles about Cuban issues
since 1968. His articles appeared in the
Houston Chronicle, The Washington Post, The
Washington Times, Washington Inquirer, El Tiempo Latino,
etc. in the U.S. and abroad and are distributed by numerous
Internet sites. He wrote with Carlos Wotzkow the book
COVERING AND DISCOVERING and translated to English with
Jaums Sutton the book of Luis Grave de Peralta Morell THE
MAFIA OF HAVANA: The Cuban Cosa Nostra, writing the
foreword. In 1995, his first documentary of the series
COVERING CUBA opened at the American Film Institute in
Washington, DC. After that he released COVERING CUBA 2: The
Next Generation, COVERING CUBA 3: Elian, COVERING CUBA 4:
The Rats Below and the upcoming COVERING CUBA 5. He also
produced the documentaries CUBA: The Pearl of the Antilles
and CUBAN RUMBA QUEENS, Vol.1. He has participated in book
fairs and film festivals. |
