s this the right age to expose a child to the Communist Party, which according to the Black Book of Communism, exterminated 100 million people?  The Union of Young Communists in Cuba it is similar to the Hitler and Mussolini youth organizations.  According to the late Dr. Armando Lago's 10-year research documenting deaths caused by Castro's revolution, there were over 100,000 victims in Cuba.  The Cuban Americans were right when they warned the American public about what will happen to Elian after his return to Castro's Cuba.  But nobody listened and the liberal U.S. media scorned the Cuban Americans.

Elian, now 14, joins Communist Party

Elian Gonzalez Brotons, the young rafter who in 1999 made headlines in South Florida and the world, officially became a member of the Communist Party of Cuba on Saturday. Along with 18,000 other students nationwide, the 14-year-old boy received a membership card in the Union of Young Communists of Cuba during a ceremony in his native city of Cardenas, Matanzas province. In an acceptance speech, Gonzalez "exalted the honor and great responsibility of being a militant in the UYC," reported the official daily Granma. In November 1999, the boy was rescued from the sea and placed in the custody of distant relatives in Miami. Efforts to keep the boy in the U.S. failed and he was returned to Cuba in June 2000 after a long legal process. For a report in the Spanish daily El Pais, click here.
